From a young age of 3, Rebecca P. had a passion for singing. Her family commented on her amazing voice, making her focused on her singing career. She has been reaching for many singing opportunities ever since.

Nine years later, we meet in a noisy English classroom. I was asking questions, while other chatter overlapped. She thoughtfully answered most questions. “I was encouraged by my mom’s words when I first sang to her,” she explained.

Born in Fontana, Rebecca went to Franklin Elementary in Redlands, then Live Oak Elementary in Fontana too. She likes the genre of Christian music, which also encouraged her to start singing. Now, at Redlands Christian Middle School, she has been a lead singer for a few years at the chapels. “I wanted to sing in chapel because I love helping lead people in worshiping the Lord!” Rebecca exclaimed.

Although she doesn’t take private lessons, “I sing whenever the mood hits me,” Rebecca expressed.

Kaitlyn C. says, “She has a good voice!”

“She was given a singing talent by God,” Daniel R. explained.

Rebecca shares a funny story while breaking out a few laughs and explained a time of leading worship. She exclaimed, “We were with all the little kids in the front and no one could keep up with our hand motions! We were simply going to fast for them!”
