Before Labor day weekend, the RCMS middle school retreat takes place at Mile High Pines. 7th and 8th graders go on this trip up in the wilderness.
The retreat is all about having fun, hanging out with friends, taking a break from school, all while worshiping the Lord.
7th grader, Isabella S., said that she wants to go on Retreat because of “all the fun activities that I will be able to do and the time I will be able to spend with my friends and peers."
The retreat has many activities like archery, the leap of faith, ziplining, swimming, basketball, volleyball, soccer, 9 square, chapel, and fun games with RCMS students and classmates.
It takes place up in the mountains with the beautiful nature surrounding it.
Before the retreat, 7th grader Isabella S. said, “I want to go on the retreat because of all the fun activities that I will be able to do and the time I will be able to spend with my friends and peers.” RCMS is great having in-school and out-of-school activities that are super fun. The retreat is overall a great place to make friends and have new experiences.
7th grader Sophia M. said, “I liked hanging out with friends, ziplining, and sports. I think that you really grow closer to friends and you can grow closer to God and your friends. My favorite thing about retreat is the zipline and staying with friends.” After the retreat, Isabella shared, “My favorite part about retreat was staying up with my best friend talking about all the fun adventures that day."
The retreat is a great time and place to connect with not only other students, but the Lord. RCMS will always have a great time at the retreat.
