Trends, everybody knows about them whether you're a part of them or not! For example, one of the biggest trends in 2019 has been Hydro Flasks. There are many colors and sizes to choose from and adding stickers can be a big way to express your style.

According to 8th grader Ella C., her favorite trend at the moment is Birkenstocks because they are convenient and comfortable. “They are very easy to slide on” says Ella. You can wear them all year around and pair them with socks as well.

Another trend that a lot of students own are Apple Watches. “The watch is a great way to track your fitness” says 8th grader Makayla M. Apple recently came out with the new Apple Series 5 watch. Many students and teachers say that it is beneficial and easy to communicate without a phone. “I jumped on the Apple Watch bandwagon and I don’t regret it,” says English and Drama teacher Mrs. Huffman.

Vans have been very popular for 6th, 7th and 8th graders this school year. “They are probably the most common casual shoe that teenagers wear” says 8th grader Thomas Bosman. When buying a pair of Vans, you can customize a pair or just get some that no one else has. “I like the checkered Vans but I don't like the other styles of Vans” 8th grader Aryah Seraj says.

These are just some of the many trends here at Redlands Christian Middle School and we hope you learned a bit about them!
