Drew Y. has been many places, but it all started with traveling from California to Indiana, at the age of 6 months. His mother had decided to go to a musical event to learn more about worship music. From there, Drew found himself going everywhere from Hawaii to Greece.

“My favorite trip was Hawaii, but my least favorite trip might be Italy because we had to walk so much and didn’t get any time to play. I would go there again, though.”

Eleven years later, Drew fidgets with his paper and pencil as he tries to look back on his travels. He takes a break from typing to answer the questions.

“I find it exciting to travel to new places,” Drew says.

Hawaii, Greece, Italy, Europe; he has seen it all. As a young world traveler, Drew has seen many historical and Biblical sights. In addition, he has seen many museums. Drew goes with his entire/large family to Hawaii every year but he has been on a plane by himself, to go to Seattle, Washington.

Once there, Drew met up with his friend, Owen -- who is twelve -- who Drew would be staying with. Going to Seattle seemed to be very eventful, as they went to a Trampoline park and saw Toy Story 4. They also played video games and basketball.

Hawaii is an interesting place. Drew should know; he goes there with his entire family every year. When they snorkeled, Drew saw 5 turtles and an eel. Drew has been to the islands Maui and Honolulu. Honolulu is bigger and has more people, but there weren't that many houses because the people were mostly tourists. That meant there was a lot of hotels.

“I like Honolulu more than Maui; the waves are better,” Drew said.

Two years before, Drew went to Italy. He visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Afterward, Drew got to eat some delicious pizza. “I could have eaten the whole thing myself!” He said. Drew also went to two other places by plane or car.

This past summer, Drew went to Greece. There was “no chilling” because they were constantly going to see places, Drew says. He saw a place where Paul the Apostle (from the Bible) preached, a famous statue named Rafael, and lots of museums.

“My favorite museum was one with a hall full of statues; one was named Daniel.”

Drew also had the experience of seeing an ancient Greek theatre. It was crumbling and falling apart. He said the beaches there had decent waves but most were too small. Near the beach, there was a volcano. It was dormant but the closer Drew got to the volcano, the warmer the water was. Drew also visited three places afterward, by plane or car.

During the Men’s World Cup, Drew went to Europe, including France and Belgium. He ate Belgium waffles -- and enjoyed them -- and visited the Eiffel Tower in France.

“It is fun to travel; it has a lot of history and family time,” Drew says.
