Since Covid-19 hit, a lot of people had to change their summer vacation plans, including our fellow RCMS students and teachers. Here are some of their stories.

The summer of 2020 was one the world will never forget.

6th grader Ellie F. said, “ I went to Mammoth, Lawrence Welk, and the beach, and if it wasn't for Corona Virus, my family and I were going to go to Disney World.”

History teacher Mr. Moore said, “This summer we traveled back to Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida to visit family and friends. People asked me if I missed Alabama, and I honestly answered them, 'No!' I love it here in Cali. After that we pretty much just relaxed, did some yard work, and got ready for school to start back. Like most of us, we were going to school & doing life together on a daily basis. We were planning on traveling anyway, BUT also were hoping to do some sightseeing on our way back to Cali, which we were unable to do."

7th grader Jayden K. said this about his summer: “I played video games all summer long. We were going to Indonesia, but couldn’t because Covid.”

Another 7th grader, Christian C. shared his thoughts on the summer of 2020: “I hope next summer will be better.”

These are some RCMS stories over a crazy quarantined summer.
