You want to know about what people did this summer because what they did gives you an idea of what they like, and what they do in their free time. In other words, you can build a stronger relationship with the people around you by getting to know them better.
Throughout the week, Keller K., Kaiya H, and Quoymee C. interviewed Mrs. Ishida, Brooke L., Katey B., and a few others.
This summer Mrs. Ishida stayed home and relaxed. She finally convinced her husband to binge watch the first season of 9-1-1. Although she enjoyed her summer, she also was a little disappointed because her daughter couldn’t come visit her. Her daughter usually visits her every summer, but she couldn’t because of reasons concerning her being very busy with a new job.
Katey B. (8) had a very pleasant summer. She binge watched Stranger Things season 3 and went to Lake Shasta with her family. Something funny she said that happened was her cousin got slapped in the face. It was even funnier because “no one saw it coming.” When she was asked about what she missed about school she responded with a very honest, “ I missed absolutely nothing about school.”
Brooke L. (7) went to the beach a lot with her family and played a few soccer games on the sand. One of the things she enjoyed the most about her summer was playing video games with her friends.
We highly enjoyed hearing what everybody did this summer. It built a stronger sense of connection between the people we interviewed, and us, just by talking to them. It seemed that everybody we interviewed spent time with their family and had a good and fun experience being asked these questions.
That was great guys .!
