By Sam M.

Perry I, a short 9 year old at the time, was getting back from a late-night safari in Bali, Indonesia. Tired, Perry and the other kids with him drifting away to the land of sleep. Turns out they got on the wrong bus back to the hotel, while the others woken up and moved to the correct bus, our friend Perry was left behind. Tracked down from a license plate picture and 2 bus drivers, the bus was found along with a confused and worried Perry. Now, he is 12, still short, and excited to travel more.

Perry's first trip was to Kauai, Hawaii when he was about 5 year old. With many chickens on Kauai, Perry said his favorite part he could remember was “seeing [his] little brother Blake who was really young at the time chasing chickens around.” Perry couldn’t remember anything bad about the trip, he only had good to say.

He said his favorite trip was when he went to Tokyo, Japan. A couple reasons he liked Japan was he had a very nice Godzilla themed hotel room that had a button where the room that if you pressed it would shake and a fake tv broadcast would come on saying that Godzilla was going on a rampage. He also loved the food there, and found the Toyota museum very interesting. Also he really liked the Gundam base. His favorite thing was just all of the things you could do and all of the things he did.

On the same trip he visited Okinawa, a Japanese island. It was very relaxing, most of the time in Okinawa was spent at the beach. One of the main places he went to was an aquarium that held a whale shark. “Japan was very exciting and fun, I hope to go again sometime,” Perry let me know.

He has also been on a mission trip to Costa Rica. While there his parents gave medical help while Perry, his brother, and cousins gave out books to children. Perry’s mom is a radiologist, a doctor who looks at x-rays, his dad used to be a nurse and teacher but currently is a stay at home dad.

Not too many people know about Perry's travels. A fellow classmate, Andrew V. said, “Perry travels a lot? I didn’t know that,” when I asked if he knew about Perry’s travels.

He has enjoyed all of his trips and when I asked him about his least favorite trip he said, “I don’t have one. I have enjoyed all of my trips and haven’t had a reason to not like a trip.”

Perry is very excited to travel more. He is mainly excited about a possible trip he will take to see an F1 race, Formula One racing, somewhere in Europe, he is excited just to watch a race in person. Also a trip possible in 2022 where Perry and his family will do a big road trip through France, Romania, and possibly, Spain, he is excited to learn more about the Romanian side of his family.

Perry said,”[When I'm older] I would like to continue to travel with my friends and family for as long as I can.”

I liked how you described with a lot of detail about each trip Perry has been to. It gave a lot of information, including the fact the not many people knew about his travels, including me. Great article.

I really liked how you wrote the 6th paragraph. All the proper punctuation made it easy to read. l also liked your style of writing overall.

I like it when is says how many people didn't know Perry traveled because it really punctuates the article and giving information that people might be surprised about
