One Mile at a Time

Madison L. was around 3 years old when she traveled for the first time, but when she grew older she started traveling more. Madison moved twice in her life. Once because they just wanted to move, and the second time was next to her grandparents.

2-3 years later they traveled to Chicago, Illinois. Madison said, “I lived in California my whole life. I have moved like twice and have been in the same neighborhood for a while. She says, ”My favorite place I've gone is New York.”

She doesn't move a lot, but she has visited lots of places. Madison says,”...I like California but I also want to travel to so many more places. I just like traveling. It seems fun.”

Madison said, "I've been to New York, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington state, Illinois, North and South Carolina, Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas,” Madison says.

“I normally travel with family, I don't really make new friends, and the longest I normally stay is like a week,“ Madison shares.

“This summer I went to Washington and Oregon. I have sadly never gone outside the country, but I hope in the future,” Madison claims. She wants to travel to Europe and Australia. She also wants to travel all of the U.S, Mexico, and Canada.

On road trips, she binge-watches Netflix, listens to music, and watches TikTok. She also plays Minecraft, Fortnite, Roblox, Among Us, Uno, Phase Ten, Speed, War, Slap Jack, and Skip Bo.

When she is not traveling, Madison is hanging out with friends and likes swimming, playing softball, and sleeping. She laughs at almost everything, and she also likes to draw and paint on occasion. She states,” I used to play soccer and basketball for years. I am currently learning how to play the flute.”

Madison states, “I will definitely continue to travel in the future."
