When he was only three years old, Cole’s parents had wanted him to go skiing with them. Cole said, “He [his dad] put me between his legs and grabbed my arms and we went down the hill.” As he skied down the bunny slope of the great big bear mountain he was not very scared, but happy. And although he wasn't a professional skier, this was where he found his love of skiing.

Ten years later, on a casual September day, we sit on a bean bag chair in an English classroom. Cole sits down and talks to other people, ignoring most questions unless he has to answer. As Cole struggles to get comfortable, he moves around. Whether he is stretching or crossing his foot, Cole is extremely active. While he taps his foot around and never really looks up he says, “It's called Dave's Run," referring to the tallest slope he's been on at about 11 thousand feet.

When asked about RCMS' ski club, Cole said, “I would probably do it if it wasn't at Mountain High.” He doesn't really like Mountain High because it's a little bit easy for him. So he probably won't be joining the ski club this year. He might join a ski club outside of school, it just would depend on where they go skiing.

His favorite place to go skiing is Mammoth because it's more fun than other mountains, but he wants to go to Utah one day.

Besides skiing Cole fancies airsoft and football. He loves skiing, but it definitely isn't his only hobby.
