On a sunny September morning on Thursday, Cayla came in at the appointed time ready to answer questions. She seemed comfortable as she lounged in a beach chair. We started the interview. She was wearing a Marvel T-shirt and skinny jeans. She put her hair in a french braid for the time being.

Cayla has always had a knack with medicine. Last year at the dance, Cayla’s friend Lilly fell on the floor and cut her knee which started bleeding. This happened because she was wearing high heels which are uncomfortable to her. Lilly said, "My stupid high heels made me fall!” Cayla ran to her backpack and tore out her first aid kit. Then she rummaged through it to find a band-aid. She held it up in pride then started to tend the wound. Cayla’s hands moved like a flash and at the end, Lilly thanked her with gratitude.

Cayla is a friendly person and she loves to help people when she’s having a good day. She wants to be a pharmacist because her parents are pharmacists; in fact, they both work at the VA.

In the middle of the interview, the bell rings and she grabs her supplies, organizes them, and puts them into her backpack. Then she rushes out like a cat being chased by a dog.

Cayla will have a bright future with medicine and help people in need.
