While 6th grade is already back on campus, it is the hope that 7th and 8th graders will go back to the Redlands Christian School campus soon.

Mr. Moore, a history teacher at RCMS, says, “I love being on campus. I think it is good that we are able to teach in person.”

In order for students to be allowed back on campus, the school must follow certain protocols. These protocols are to keep everyone safe and to keep learning.

To prevent the spread of germs, students need to wash hands hourly and need to sanitize every time they enter and exit a classroom. There will also be UVC Light Treatment in the classrooms.

Many protocols focus on social distancing. For example, the hallways are now one-way walkways, with arrows on the ground to show students and faculty where to go. Also, classroom desks will be more spread out to decrease the chance of anyone getting sick.

Students and faculty are required to wear face masks or face shields while inside, which is also why teachers will have some of their classes outside. This way they can get fresh air and not have to wear masks. They must, however, still stay six feet apart.

Principal Mr. Spear says, ” I am very happy with our current COVID protocols.”

We hope to be back on campus soon and can’t wait to see what this year brings us!
