Standing on the sideline, nervous and scared, four-year-old Brooke L. had no idea a lifelong love of soccer was beginning. As she walked onto the field, heart pounding, she hoped for the best. As the practice went on, she knew that she would like soccer.

Eight years later at the age of thirteen, Brooke still loves soccer and has made many friends. She now plays club soccer for AYSO United. Brooke plays soccer whenever she can. It’s not just an interest, it’s a hobby, and she is committed to it. You can normally see her playing left forward.

“My favorite part about playing soccer is probably shoving people,” said Brooke, “but I don’t like all the running.”

Soccer isn’t the only thing interesting about Brooke. Brooke’s second favorite hobby is eating. Her favorite book is Hoot. She was born and raised in Redlands, California. She went to Mariposa Elementary for 6 years.

It looks like Brooke has a promising future in soccer, and will continue to play for years to come.
